UK premiere of multi-award-winning Irish drama based on the interview transcripts and records from the James Bulger case. Detainment has already provoked standing ovations from screenings worldwide. Starring  Tara Breathnach (The Tudors), Will O’Connell (Red Rock), David Ryan (Titanic), Morgan C. Jones (Ripper Street), Brian Fortune (Vikings). Directed by Vincent Lambe. Director Vincent Lambe will be present at the screening to respond to questions about his film.

Schoolyard Blues

Award winning Swedish drama about the story of a young boy preparing his younger brother for life in the merciless demands of the school playground. Directed by Maria Eriksson-Hecht.

Cavello

Multi-award-winning Dutch drama about a young boy desperately trying to win back his best friend after a girl comes between them. Directed by Sven Bresser.

Hymn of Hate

Set in No Man’s Land at The Somme during WW1, Hymn of Hate is a poignant drama made to coincide with the centenary of the end of the Great War. Starring Russel Tovey (Being Human, Him & Her) and Thomas Turgoose (Kingsman, This is England). Directed by British director Matt Kennard. Director Matt Kennard will be present to respond to questions about his film.

Rain

Brave Dutch drama about a young man looking for love, warmth and confirmation in the wrong place – all seen through the eyes of the perpetrator. Directed by Ravi Sandberg.
